While the news is not so 'new', in case you haven't heard, WAKY is back on the AM dial at AM 620, the previous home of WTMT. The AM signal is simulcasting the 103.5 FM signal, along with another translator at 100.1 FM to serve the listeners in Northern Louisville and Southern Indiana. While obviously not as good as back in the day at 790, it's still good, and in my opinion BETTER, to hear Johnny Randolph and StevenLee Cook on the ol' AM again!

Now, I think it would be fabulous if the powers that be were to arrange to occasionally have an old WAKY veteran, or even a WKLO veteran, to come in and do, say, a 3 hour show or a co-host! Now THAT, I would set my tapes rolling for!

I got the chance to be in driving in southern Indiana and spending several days in Big Lou. It was great to listen to WAKY (AM) and appears to be a better signal since WTMT days. I agree, it is great to listen to WAKY on the AM band again. The signal in the northern part of southern Indiana.

I agree, Ben/Rudy...unless I cannot get a signal to hold, I choose to listen at 620AM!
