How in the world do you get far(t)ing out of Saffron? I've confused a lot of lyrics in my day (Margaritaville--and soon it will render. . . I couldn't make that out to save my life), but Mellow Yellow I had no problem with. Come on, Max.

I couldn't make that out to save my life), but Mellow Yellow I had no problem with. Come on, Max. The part I was referring to is apparently "I'm just mad about fourteen..." (check out Bruiser's link above) and to my ears his our sounded like ar. There was never a question about the word Saffron. Incidentally, thanks to Bruiser for clarifying that. Of course one can always search on the internet for lyrics...sometimes, though, even if you know where to find the answer, you have to pose a question like that just to get people to start posting again... ...this did get some responses, didn't it???

I've heard people sing the wrong words to "Runaway". I've heard them sing:
I'm a walking in the rain To the ball and I feel the pain
The words are:
I'm a walking in the rain Tears are falling and I feel a pain

New question, same thread, that I've had since seeing this at the bottom: 1 Staff Member, 4 Members, 45 Guests, 1 Invisible User JQ, what the heck is an 'invisible user'? Or should this be on the Fright Night thread?

It's a new ProBoards option in your user profile. If you choose "Yes" it will make it so that you are not listed as online except to staff members (me). That way you can be a member but still "lurk" (unless you post).

Just turned on my cable and heard a 'radio commercial' calling ABBA one of the most successful disco groups! HUH? Disco? You gotta be kidding! "Dancing Queen" was probably the closest to disco they came. When I think of disco I think of: ...but ABBA?

Abba brings back memories of June 1974 when I went on the air at Quicksie (WQXE Elizabethtown) because it was the very first record I played. It had been cued by the previous jock (Mason Smoot, who was also quite an activist in E-Town at that time) and the song's short, loud intro was just barely long enough for me to introduce myself and get the calls in (or Quicksie) right at the post. Other than that, I was never much for Abba.
I do like "Knowing Me, Knowing You." Very nice.
