I have just learned the FCC is considering the future of Low Power FM radio. They want to know how you feel about the importance of local radio and the small stations. Do we want a continued erosion of the airwaves to prevail? Do you want to see less variety and basically a 'dictatorship' of programming? Or do you see value in local programming and want to see stations with their own identity. Go to the link below, read and then let the FCC know your opinion. They are asking us now, and if we choose to pass on this like we choose to not vote, we can only blame ourselves. More than ever: RADIO NEEDS YOU!!
Please go to this link before you reply to this post...it's that important. www.protectradio.org/

Just FYI, guys, your 'petitions', for lack of a better term, need to be in to the FCC by Monday, the 22nd. Just go to the link, and once you click on the link to the form, you'll only be asked to enter your name. Of course, you'll have the opportunity to read the docket before you submit it. They also give you a link to read the entire proposed rulings. Lastly, if the form for some reason doesn't work for you, you'll have the opportunity to submit comments/opinions directly by going to a link to the FCC site.
