With Christmas just around the corner, we're looking to possibly add some Christmas greetings from past dj's to WAKYOnline. We already have regular liners from Johnny Randolph and Dude Walker that normally air, but I'm pondering adding holiday liners to the already planned rotation of Christmas music that's set to start Thanksgiving Day. Taking into account the shuffle mode, one cannot predict just what the balance in music will be...or how often. Ideally, every 4th song would be a Christmas tune, but that's out of our control, unless, again, I program it. But with an ever increasing music library the days of programming it quickly have long since passed. But this looks to be a fun endeavor and I look forward, as always, to making this unlike any other internet station. Thought about playing all Christmas tunes from, say, Christmas Eve through the 25th, but there are already other terrestrial stations that do that, and who sits in front of their computer Christmas Eve and Day just to hear Christmas music, anyway? Besides I don't think WAKY did that. So, if any past WAKY jocks would like to send their Christmas greeting to me at basixdj@yahoo.com, I'll be only too happy to get it converted and 'on the air'! If you can send it in mp3, it would be great. If not I might be able to convert it with the software I have. Of course if you want to burn your greeting to CD and mail it to me, you can do that. Just use the address on the T-shirt page!

Just a little postscript that the invitation is open to ANY former WAKY DJ (you too, Ben & alias!), not just the Dukes, Dudes and Coyotes. I would like to even extend the invitation to our beloved curator, to whom we all owe so much.

With 10 days to go, it's still not too late to get your Christmas greeting in and on the air! Thanks to John Quincy for his greetings. We've received some more liners, but would still appreciate some holiday greetings!! Just e-mail your greeting to basixdj@yahoo.com or directly to John Quincy, who will add some 'fluff' to your dry read!
