I've heard a commercial on WHAS radio for Meijers. It's an ad that has a voice that sounds almost exactly like the ol' Duke. It's even did in his style. Anyone else heard this and thought they were caught in a time warp?

Terry Meiners is currently on vacation. When he returns I'll see what he can tell us about that particular spot. Haven't heard it, myself.
Wouldn't it be a trip to learn that it actually is the Duke? He may have found a way to offset some of his medical expenses by reading copy. He still has his wits, and that voice, and he does daily announcements at the nursing home.

If Bill still has the voice and delivery, I'm surprised he hasn't been hired to do some work.

Heard from Meiners, and he said it's not the Duke. He also said the Duke has a problem with speech, due to the stroke. To bad, as I was hoping the Duke might be able to get some work.

Unfortunately, it's true. If you listen to the Duke on the "Bill Bailey Award Presentation" stream (located on the WAKY-WKLO 2005 Reunion page) it's quite apparent. I gave the streaming audio another listen after your second post (bruiser) on this subject.
