Just wondering if anyone here was on the air or at the station during an FCC inspection? Two of my clients were visited by an Enforcement Bureau agent last Thursday. And as usual, they all were freaking out.

Ole Rudy was not on the air during the inspections that occur during normal business hours (daytime). As an Engineer over the years, have seen been through several inspections. Yes, it may be a nervous time, but I do not ever remember "Freaking" out. If everything is in order, why freak out? If they have to dig, they will find. I now see some of the reports.

Yo, Rudy! Is it true that FCC inspectors all wore white shirts with skinny ties, talked like Jack Webb and had no sense of humor?

Most of the agents I know ;D , do have a sense of humor. Their dress is usually business attire during audits. When in the "field", it is sometimes jeans & sport shirt. You know the normal dress code has changed in the years Golf shirts are also sometimes worn.

Well, Ben, you know how managers and "others" can act when something is different. With my clients here, no there was no reason to worry. I just thought their reactions were kinda funny.
I tried getting in touch with the owner of the tower that one of my clients is on. He's got some lights out and the FCC agent made notes of it. never called back. I suppose he'll be getting a NOV soon.
That agent that was in town was a female, and she wore business dress. She is a bit of a low talker, or else my hearing is really getting bad. I just hope I'm not wearing a puffy shirt anytime soon.
I can see not wanting to mess up a nice suit when you are out at tower sites and such. I get my work clothes from a flea market here in LaGrange. I'm not gonna mess up a $30 pair of pants from Wal Mart.

Did you happen to remember the agent's name? Was it "Kris" by any chance?
