Good to meet you there Mason. We are probably related since we have the same last name and come from the Caney Creek Metropolitian Area. LOL. What ever happened to Lee Masters? Did you know him?

"Old" friends from the WAKY era knew me as "Betty", though it sounds foreign to me now!

Was going to try and make the reunion when Michael Summers alerted me to it, but, alas, family business brought me to town early, and that scuttled getting back down there again. Glad you're well....you'll always be a part of the heart. Elizabeth/Betty/Beller ebk52@hotmail.com

Couldn't agree more, Mason Lee. What a great evening, catching up with everyone's lives! Thanks again to John for putting it all together. He'd never survive us doing it annually -- how about every 3 years?

Now that I have had a chance to soak all the memories and pictures in, I am flooded with thoughts from the past and just how lucky I am. Can you imagine being on the air right after the Duke of Louisville and being on just ahead of Burbank. It was a magical time. I will always remember what a fantastic thrill it was to work with the Duke, the funniest guy I have ever met and a joy to have as a friend. Then there was Burbank who spent so much time putting his show together and pulling it off. Mason Dixon was awesome as well and one of my favorite people in thw world. What a talent Lee masters, Chris Lundy and Jason O'brien was and still is. I will always remember the Weird Beard, what a gentle soul he was. But most of all, having Johnny Randolph as a PD was the icing on the cake. I am very blessed to have worked with these great talents and I am proud to call them my friends, Thanks also to John Quincy for his love of WAKY that lead to this website. Now John Quincy is one of us and it is great to call him my friend as well after meeting him in person. God bless all of those people and all the people who have contiurbuted to this site, especially Max, who is a wonderful human being, Travis, Bruiser and everyone else on here. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving season and Christmas as well. I know I am thankful. Best always to you all, Dude Walker

In looking through photos for another web endeavor, I ran across a photo I had originally disregarded because at the time the jocks' attention was directed towards another photographer-until recently I found something that makes this one special. While there are better pictures on the 79waky and 1080wklo websites of this group, this one is the only photo that includes Mason Lee Dixon, who had just slipped in the picture after the main photo had been taken. Check out the photo on the WAKYOnline Homepage at the link bottom left!
...and Happy Thanksgiving to JQ, all the former jocks and to the members of this forum
