Future programming soundbytes will be available only at the WAKYOnline Home Page site, due to unauthorized on-air use. Ours is a non-profit internet radio station, who's programming is solely used as an aid to stir memories of the Super '79, like 79waky.com. Copies of programming have been shared with other sites serving the same cause, as well. In recent days, however, our programming, while it is free for downloading for personal use, has been downloaded and used by for-profit terrestrial radio stations. While one station may have used a file in its original format for a one-time deal, another downloaded multiple files, added a music bed without deleting the original, creating, in our opinion, an inferior, unprofessional sounding product. This is programming we work hard at in producing and is not 'shareware' that is open for interpretation or reworking.
We work hard to preserve a memory exclusive to former listeners and employees of WAKY. Thanks to the many loyal listeners of both WAKY and WAKYOnline, 2007 looks to be an exciting year and we look forward to helping you relive the memories!

With the next few weeks uncertain, we're going ahead and adding some songs here and there which may have never been released as singles, but could have been big, purely based on the quality of the albums they were included in. This week, that album is Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs and the cuts are "What Can I Say?" and "Georgia". Bon Appetit!

This week's WAKY hit 'wannabe', coulda been, shoulda been, might've been (whatever you want to call it) is from Billy Joel's LP "The Stranger" and the cut we've added is "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant".
Another new entree on the WAKYOnline playlist!

We've added our first song since the programming downsize. Hopefully, in the next couple of months, we'll be able to increase our size again.
But as of today, we've added music from Elvis Presley-"If You Talk in Your Sleep".

There will be yet more changes/improvements coming to our programming in both the near and immediate future. Future production bytes/interviews will have a cleaner sound & edit thanks to new software. Also starting with the partial Holiday programming and especially afterwards, we will be starting the long anticipated move back towards a larger storage/longer playlist, which will also bring variety back to WAKYOnline (this thanks to more gameful employment on my part). ;D ;D Haven't decided whether or not we'll continue having a Record of the Year this year, as we had a pretty dismal 'voter turnout' last year.
