Is there anywhere on the web where one can view proclamations, such as the one recently presented to Gary Burbank? Those proclamations have a great deal written on them (as can be made out in the photo of Burbank holding his document for the camera) and can be quite humorous.
There's probably a proclamation made for someone, or some event, nearly every day of the year, but is there a public record of these proclamations and, if so, can they be viewed on the web. My attempts to Google them out have, so far, failed. But I may be overlooking something.
By the way, February 28th of 1985 was declared "Travis Hardwick Day" in Louisville, by then mayor, Harvey I. Sloane. The proclamation hangs on the wall of my home to this day and looks very similar to the one Burbank is holding in the photo. Ron Clay and Terry Meiners were behind getting the mayor to issue the proclamation during our time at WQMF.
I'd love to know what is written on Gary Burbank's.

Attn: Rudy I'm drowning in heavy vacation coverage at work, but when time permits I will scan the document and send it to John Quincy along with the story so that he may post it in the WQMF section located at: www.lkyradio.com My only concern is that the document has not been removed from its frame in 22 years and may crumble into dust (OK, so it's not that old). It's also longer than the bed of my scanner, so I'm going to have to do some image editing before I can send it.
