First of all I offer my apologies in advance to Kevin for this post...
Have you heard the new Eagles release, "How Long"? While their upcoming album, Long Road Out of Eden, won't be released until the end of the month, I just had the pleasure of playing this song on our rock station, although it sounds like a country cross-over which would sound equally at home on our country station (go figure).
By the way, Kevin, have you been posting on stereogum.com?
Potty mouth! ;D

Hey Max, No I haven't posted anywhere for a while, I have been heavily involved with the election, but its over now and my side will likely lose big tonight. Ka sa ra sa ra. Hey, can I make a song request for that song? Doris Day wasn';t it?

Want a copy of "Long Road Out Of Eden"? LOL, it's not up to their previous efforts, IMO.

Want a copy of "Long Road Out Of Eden"? LOL, it's not up to their previous efforts, IMO. Really, Bruiser??? With the exception of the 10 minute title track, which IMO seems so out of place, I think it's better than The Long Run. They have tried a couple of new sounds here and there, and then again some of the tracks sound like Glenn's solo efforts. Overall, I think it's very good. It probably could have been a single disc if they'd just had the truly outstanding ones. And Kevin, if you're serious, I can accomodate your request, but I'm not sure Doris Day ever got alot of airplay on WAKY.

It's probably gonna go to number 1 on the charts. It's not a bad album.

I didn't expect this at all-I was checking charts online this morning and see where the album has topped not only BillBoard charts, but several international charts. I guess what surprises me is I get concerned when artists release a title late in their career risking the old 'out of sight out of mind/what have you done for me lately' thinking of the record buying public. That and the longer they wait to do something the more they risk either their fans dying off or becoming apathetic. Listening to this double disc, it gives me hope that a culture such as ours can still appreciate music such as this...music that isn't crotch-grabbing or "performed" by those plagued by the many body piercings and wardrobe malfunctions...uh-better stop there (I'm getting worked up!)

How's John Fogerty's latest doing?

Yes, Doris Day was aired. Do you remember "Everybody Loves a Lover" and "Teacher's Pet"? There were probably other hits aired from Doris besides Kevin's request.

Doris Day? Oh, Kevin's post near the top. Is Doris Day still living? And did she do "How much is that Doggy in the Window?" Inquiring minds want to know. And what's this about the Eagles having a new release? (I work so much that I'm behind on everything... except my bills) Has hell frozen over once again? Regarding John Fogerty: Is this a solo project or has he and the boys of CCR gotten back together? If so, then hell truly has frozen over. Talk about a bunch of guys who hated each other's guts over the years. I guess time truly heals all. That and/or the need for money.

The "doggie" song was done by Patti Page.
At this writing, Doris hasn't achieved room temperature.
I'm not that big of a Doris Day fan, but "Everybody Loves A Lover" is a very cool record.

Fogerty is a solo act these days.
