Given there are several of the broadcast media that are either conducting or wrapping up a membership/fund drive (Western Kentucky Radio/Public radio, WJIE) it would be nice to have a membership drive of our own (actually a recruitment). This website, along with 1080wklo.com, has been around 2 and a half years and in that time it appears that everything has been shared about the Super 79/Big 79 that can be said. It would really be nice if some new folks came along and shared some memories of their own...you know personal experiences that are either unique or else just haven't been talked about yet. It's a sad commentary that a current quick glance of the first page of the messageboard is largely made up of comments about the 'new WAKY', which does absolutely NOTHING for alot of us.
Maybe we can all chip in and donate WAKY prizes for new members!
