WAKY fans, be sure to get tickets for WAKY's Birthday Dinner/Cruise on the Star of Louisville on Saturday, March 1st, 2008. It will a great time celebrating WAKY radio's 50th birthday!! This will be dinner and a cruise!
The classic rock band, Crushed Velvet (very popular back in the '70's before they hung it up to raise kids and pursue kids), will bring their awesome musical talent and outstanding vocals to help us all celebrate WAKY's birthday.
Most people will remember Crushed Velvet from the Belle of Louisville cruises, Toys for Tots, the State Fair, and dances at the Catholic Churches. They were one of the hottest bands in the area, and they are still rockin' on!
