I recently got a new cell phone. Besides being about half the size of my last phone, it lets me hook it up to a PC to transfer sounds, images, etc. between the two devices.
So being the WAKY nerd that I am, I put together a ringtone that consists of three jingles from WAKY's PAMS Philly Story package. That's my favorite all-time PAMS non-numbered package -- the jingles WAKY used in the early and mid '70s.
Now whenever I receive a call, my cell phone plays the WAKY jingle montage, starting off with that great top-of-the-hour jingle. And since my cell phone's speaker sounds just like a transistor radio, for a few seconds I'm back in the '70s again.
Silly, I guess...but it sure beats a hook from the latest 50 Cent song.
