I listened to the ol' Duke when he was on WLS from time to time. It was easy to see he wasn't happy. He sure wasn't the Duke we knew and loved in Louisville. About the only thing he could do was intro the song, and give the time and temp.

Bill wasn't a happy camper at WLS for sure. WLS wanted him because he was so successful in Louisville, then tried to change his act. Bailey told me that despite the restrictions, WLS became number one in the mornings for the first time ever while Bailey was there. Oh well...WLS's loss was WAKY's gain.
