it was sad to learn that waky and wklo dj al risen passed away last year. al was a kind and gentle man, and was key to introducing so much incredible music to us all under the guise of "underground" music in those early morning hours. artists such as donovan, chicago (chicago transit authority back then) and many, many others that shaped our tastes and fit our times. we met as a result of my job at tiff's records when my boss, martin cohn, would send me to deliver new music and musicians to the local rock stations. both of these men helped make the louisville music scene the best in the region. you have been, and always will be, missed, my friends.

He had a great single in 1967 called "Don't Ya Wish You Could" under the moniker of Jack Holiday. Great forgotten song.
