Well, I just got my cd "The Best of Tilt Records" in the mail today. Here's the opening of the liner notes inside the cd:
The TILT Record label was started and owned by "Jumpin Jack Sanders, a DJ for WAKY out of Louisville,Kentucky in 1958. A year earlier while Jack was in Shreveport, Louisiana he had a hand in writing "Susie Q" for Dale Hawkins.
It is unclear why the Cincinnati Ohio address is on two of the releases on TILT but nevertheless, it is a very difficult label to find and had some great groups and instrumental bands represented on it.
I did a Wikepedia search for the song "Susie Q" and could not find any mention of Jack Sanders. Stan Lewis and Eleanor Broadwater are given co-writing credits.

The sound is quite good to my ears. Other listeners may disagree. I think you may be thinking as I did when Leonard Yates suggested this music may have been taken off vinyl. Besides the question to the accuracy of Jack Sanders' co-writing credits, there are some other somewhat non- professional characteristics of the CD. Louisiana is spelled Louisianna and several cuts are listed as Cosmo and the Carnations. One song is listed as Cosmo and the Counts. But perhaps these songs were recorded with the Carnations?
